15 Big Brain Goku

There are many words that you could use to describe Goku; kind, brave, powerful, goofy - the list goes on and on. One word that isn't frequently associated with Goku, however, is "smart." Sure, Goku's one of the most creative and intelligent fighters in Dragon Ball, but he's denser than a black hole when it comes to anything unrelated to combat. This meme suggests the opposite, however; it imagines Goku as a deadbeat Dad who intentionally dies in battle so that he doesn't have to raise his kids - or pay child support for bailing on them. Considering how Gohan and Goten turned out, it's hard to argue with the results.

14 Super Saiyan 20

Long ago, when Dragon Ball GT was the closest thing we had to a direct continuation of DBZ, we had no idea how many Super Saiyan forms we'd see. Some of you younger Dragon Ball fans might not know this, but we had rancid internet connections back when DBZ first debuted. So, when someone spread a rumor about a new Super Saiyan form, most of us couldn't hop online and figure out the truth for ourselves. This meme harkens back to those ancient days when douchebags the world over would swear up and down that Super Saiyan 100, or even Super Saiyan 1000, was legit. Ah, good times.

13 DBZ x Spongebob

Crossover events are all the rage these days, especially when it comes to anime and manga. Jump Force might not have garnered much critical acclaim or commercial success, but it does stand as one of the biggest anime crossover games in recent history. Usually, Dragon Ball characters only join forces or but heads with heroes and villains from other Shonen Jump franchises. But what if we ever saw a crossover between DB characters and figures from non-anime franchises? This meme paints a pretty great picture of what a crossover between DBZ and Spongebob would look like; tons yelling, even more waiting, and then a "find out next time on Dragon Ball Z" right when the tension reaches a fever pitch.

12 Stop Hitting Yourself

A wise man once said that "the hardest battles are against yourself." Doppelganger characters lend credence to this claim; not only do they physically resemble our heroes, but they also tend to have their same powers and abilities. Enter Goku Black - an evil clone character from Dragon Ball Super's Future Trunks Saga. Take Goku and his insane power level, then subtract his kindness, goofiness - everything that makes him who he is - and replace it with a God Complex. That's Goku Black in a nutshell. Naturally, the real Goku wasn't going to let an imposter ruin his reputation without a fight - hence this meme.

11 Goku 2020

2020 isn't just going to be a big year for Dragon Ball - it's also going to be a major year for the United States. In November, the Presidential Elections will be in full swing. For the past few years, we've heard everyone from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to Kanye West claim that they intend to run for President. We're pretty sure that most folks are simply blowing smoke, while others are dead serious. We try not to get too political around here, but we'll say this much - if Goku was genuinely a candidate for the US Presidency, he'd easily have our votes.

10 Super Saiyan 2 Facts

Isn't the concept behind going Super Saiyan awesome? You squat down and yell at the sky until your throat goes hoarse. After enough screaming, you're body bursts with blinding light and kicks up a dust storm. After the dust settles, you stand tall with a new haircut and power flowing through your veins!

What we've just described is a Saiyan's transformation from their base form into Super Saiyan 1. However, the transformation from Super Saiyan 1 to Super Saiyan 2 isn't all that glamorous. These sorts of Dragon Ball memes are funny because they're also true to a point. At least the same doesn't apply to Super Saiyan 3.

9 Goku Drops The Ball

Goku loves to fight - that's the crux of the guy's character. The man trains his body, mind, and spirit daily. Goku's also got a big heart, taking sympathy on villains like Frieza and Cell during their low points. These qualities are what make us love Goku, but they also tend to create plenty of problems.

This Dragon Ball meme references the time Goku gave Cell a Senzu Bean before fighting. The Bio-Android just finished a fight and was badly injured. Goku could've ended Cell's reign of terror right then and there! Instead, Kakarot opted to heal Cell for the sake of a fair fight. Goku lost his life for his trouble, leaving Gohan to just barely salvage a win!

8 YOLO?

Most of the heroes in the Dragon Ball world have a 'dying problem.' Everyone from Goku to Piccolo, to Chiaotzu has died at least once or twice before. When a pivotal character does bite the dust, it isn't long before someone uses the Dragon Balls to revive them.

Krillin is no exception to this trend. As it happens, Krillin's been KIA'd at least three times in Dragon Ball Z alone. This Dragon Ball meme reinforces the notion that 'death is cheap in DB.' Did your favorite character die in the most recent episode of Super? Don't worry, they'll probably come back to life by the next season!

7 Vegeta's Hair Problems

Vegeta is the Yang to Goku's Yin; Goku is kind-hearted, simple-minded, and humble whereas Vegeta is haughty, ambitious, and arrogant. At the start of DBZ, Vegeta was an outright evil character who committed slimly crimes regularly. Despite all of his shortcomings, Vegeta is still an awesome character with a massive fanbase!

Speaking of shortcomings, let's talk about Vegeta's hair. It's hard to notice, but the Prince of Saiyans has a receding hairline. Don't believe us? Then check out this Dragon Ball meme; someone took a photo of Vegeta into MS paint and scrubbed away. We're starting to see why Vegeta never mastered Super Saiyan 3.

6 Yamcha Vs. A Cell Junior

This Dragon Ball meme calls back to the 'Cell Games Saga.' At the start of this storyline, Cell hosted a tournament to decide the fate of planet Earth. Never ones to back down from a fight, the Dragon Team accepted Cell's challenge. The Saiyans on the team tackled Cell head on. However, folks like Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha took on Cell's kids.

Unfortunately for Yamcha, the Cell Juniors were incredibly strong! The little monsters took Yamcha out with ease - kicking the man while he was down for added insult. Yamcha has a track record of losing fights in DBZ. This meme hearkens back to the time Yamcha got blown up by a Seibamen.

5 Beerus The Tech Whiz

Beerus, the God of Destruction, is one of the first new characters to hit the scene in Dragon Ball Super. Despite his foreboding title and chilling appearance, Beerus isn't a bad guy. You see the God of Destruction only destroys things that are a threat to Universe 7. Otherwise, the big cat mostly sleeps and lounges around all day.

When a Supreme Kai apprentice named Zamasu threatened the universe, Beerus got to work. Using his special Hakia technique, Beerus utterly erased Zamasu from existence! Furthermore, Beerus made it look easy - wiping out Zamasu the same way Thanos wiped out half of all life in Infinity War.

4 Sad Cell

This Dragon Ball meme also calls back to the 'Cell Games Saga.' Goku got into a long and arduous battle with Cell after helping the Bio-Android heal. Goku had to pull out all the stops during his fight with the "Perfect Lifeform." Well, he had to pull out almost all of the stops.

Longtime fans of Dragon Ball know that Goku is a pragmatic fighter through and through. If the chips are down, Goku will kick, scratch, and bite an opponent if he has to. This meme points out that Goku never bit Cell during their encounters - suggesting that Cell wasn't as a real of a threat as Frieza or Buu.

3 Ultra Instinct

Here's an Ultra Instinct meme that isn't based on Shaggy! In Dragon Ball Super, Goku' s learned how to access powers that are greater than Super Saiyan 3. Ultra Instinct is one of his newest forms. Though it might not look as flashy as Super Saiyan 3 or even Super Saiyan Blue, Ultra Instinct takes Goku's power to the nth degree.

This Dragon Ball meme calls back to the time when Goku first tapped into Ultra Instinct. Even though his transformation wasn't complete, Goku still felt an incredible surge of power welling within himself! You can apply this meme to almost any scenario where you pass your own expectations.

2 After A Good Workout

This Dragon Ball meme hearkens back to the first time Future Trunks hit the scene. At the start of the 'Android Saga,' Trunks traveled back in time to help our heroes prepare for the oncoming threat. Vegeta initially had a hard time believing Trunks was his son. Before long, the Saiyan Prince embraced the time traveler with open arms.

From that point onward, Vegeta and Trunks trained together like beasts! The Prince of the Saiyans turned into a drill sergeant - constantly pushing Trunks to exceed his limits. If you've got a great partner in the gym, you can testify to this meme from experience.

1 Setting An Example

It all comes full circle with this Dragon Ball meme. Here's the scenario; we're back in the 'Cell Games Saga' again. However, this time we're near the Saga's end. Goku and Cell can't seem to get the better of one another. Everyone else is battered, bruised, and waiting for Goku to pull off a miracle.

To everyone's surprise, Goku announces that he's quitting the Cell Games! Later on, Gohan fights Cell one on one. This meme highlights a funny script error; Gohan tells Cell that Goku would never quit... moments after Kakarrot drops out and leaves the fate of the world in a teenager's hands.
